I bought two of the Jumbo Barrettes for my sister - who indicated she only wanted a "small" present for her 60th. She has amazing long, red hair! Even at 60! Anyway, this is a high quality "small" gift that wows. I was so pleased with its quality, design, color, weight, etc - I purchased two more within the next two weeks after the first order arrived. Once, I got my eyes and hands on the product and in my hair. Perfect for the "aging" thick hair person. So kinda between a youthful "thick" and "medium". A bit towards the thick end of the spectrum. So many barrettes do not clip on my hair because I'm just a bit too thick. The new duo, one for me and another for a "mature" friend. For comparison, a step above France Luxe out of Paris France - which I used to buy some but I have a new favorite! Finally, $60 for a damn barrette???!!! Just fork it over - you are getting a deal!! This barrette looks amazing, is NOT going to break when you drop it and the clasp is not going to go haywire and dysfunctional in two weeks. Two thumbs up!!

There was a defect though, and customer service was on top of it! Love that.
