How Do You Clean a Boar Bristle Hair Brush?
Here's a step-by-step guide for cleaning a boar bristle hair brush:
1. Take out any leftover hair or debris from the comb.
2. Fill a basin with warm water and add a few drops of shampoo. Soak the head of the brush in the soapy water.
3. After ten minutes of soaking, rinse the brush in cold water.
4. Shake and pat down your brush with a towel until it is completely dried.

How Do You Use a Boar Bristle Brush With Curly Hair?
To use a boar bristle brush on your curly hair, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, brush starting from the ends of your hair and progressively working your way towards the scalp and untangling knots. Second, brush your hair when damp, not soaking wet. Brushing soaking wet hair can cause it to snap. Third, spray your brush with a bit of hair spray or rub some oil through it to decrease static. Fourth, choose a high-quality brush. Lower-end brushes can damage hair. Fifth, clean your brush at least one per week. If you don't, you'll just be putting product residue and debris back into your hair.

What Is a Boar Bristle Hair Brush?
A boar bristle hair brush is a type of hair brush highly valued for its ability to distribute natural oils from the scalp throughout the length of the hair. These brushes feature bristles made from the hair of a boar, which are known for their natural stiffness and gentle touch on the hair and scalp. Boar bristles are similar to human hair and help to condition reduce frizz, and improve hair texture. This brush is often recommended for those looking to achieve a naturally smooth and shiny appearance for their hair, helping enhance health and vitality without relying on chemical-based hair products.

What Are the Two Bristle Types, and How Do I Choose the Right One for Me?
MACHETE offers two bristle types: nylon detangling bristles or a combination of nylon detangling bristles and natural boars hair. The natural boars hair and nylon detangling bristles help create tension on the hair to better hold curls or styles. They can also distribute natural scalp oils from your roots to the rest of your hair, pull out dead strands of hair, create a natural shine by closing hair strand cuticles, and encourage hair growth by improvinf blood flow from the scalp.

Nylon bristles, on the other hand, are good for quickly drying, detangling, and achieving more hair volume because the brush can retain more heat and they cause less static than a boars hair brush.

Are These Brushes Suitable for All Hair Types?
Yes, MACHETE brushes are suitable for all hair types and textures. However, boar bristle hair brushes can be a good choice for people with fine, thinning, or aging hair.

What Are the Different Sizes Available for These Brushes?
MACHETE brushes come in three sizes: Grande, Petite Travel, and our Everyday hair brush. The Everyday hair brush is equidistant in size to the Grande and Petite Travel brushes.
