Watches FAQs

What Is a Monochrome Watch?
A monochrome watch is a classic watch from MACHETE that uses one signature color combination throughout the watch, from band to crystal.

Why Choose a Monochromatic Watch?
Monochromatic watches are great because of their timeless appeal, versatility, and simplicity. Depending on the color, they can complement almost any desired outfit and color combination.

What Type of Movements Do Your Watches Use?
MACHETE Mono Watches use a Japanese movement. This means that any mechanical movements, automatic movements, or quartz movements are manufactured in Japan.

How Should I Care For My Monochromatic Watch?
Here are some things you can do to care for your monochromatic watch:

1. Clean often. Wipe your watch with a lint-free cloth daily and do a deeper clean every few months.
2. Wind your watch. For an automatic watch: After a couple of weeks of use, unscrew the crown until its in the first position. Then give it 20 to 40 winds until you begin to feel resistance. Finish by screwing the crown back in. For manual watches: Wind your watch at the same time every day. Wind clockwise 20 to 40 times until it reaches the point it can no longer be wound.
3. Wear your watch frequently. This helps maintain the viscosity of the lubricants in the movement and keep it in better condition.
4. Store your watch in a dry, safe environment. Also, keep it in a watch winder. This can keep your watch safe and prevents the lubricants from hardening. Your other option is to store it in the original box or a watch roll. Remember to wind it at least once a week.
5. Know your watches water resistance. MACHETE Mono Watches are water resistant up to 50 meters.
