    This French Pony barrette in tortoise is just as high quality as all Machete products I've purchased. I'm absolutely old enough to be able to favorably compare this barrette to the well-made ones from the 50's and 60's.

    Pretty but not practical

    This is a very attractive piece, but be aware that it will only work on fairly long, thick hair. The design is such that it does not hold shorter hair back securely.

    Love it more than expected!

    I have fine, wavy hair and didn't think this clip would work. It does and I love it! It holds my hair comfortably when it's curly. If it's straight, I first use an elastic to secure my hair before putting the barrette around my ponytail. Tigers eye is beautiful with my medium blonde hair.
